Denmark accused of "killing renewables"
The Danish government's plan to slash environmental spending has sparked further protests, this time from the renewable energy sector. Preben Maegaard, who heads one organisation being threatened with an end to funding, has launched a letter-writing campaign - in English - urging interested parties to resist "this crusade against renewable energy". Head of the Folkecenter for renewable energy, an independent NGO, Mr Maegaard is also vice-president of European solar energy trade association Eurosolar. See press release.
