Public "confused over environmental issues"
The British public is confused about environmental issues, according to an opinion poll released by pro-science group the Scientific Alliance. The organisation blamed environmentalists for spreading "misinformation" and said the survey, by polling firm Mori, showed the need for scientists "to inform the public better and to help the government meet its objective of an open debate based on sound science". According to the group, the survey also demonstrated a large gap between what people say they will do to protect the environment and what they will actually do. See press release and report.
