Belgian MPs to debate nuclear phase-out
The Belgian parliament is to vote on a controversial law to end nuclear power production in the country by 2025 after the cabinet confirmed its approval of a draft from Green party energy minister Olivier Deleuze on Friday (EED 04/03/02). The re-approval followed a positive opinion on the proposal by the Council of State, Belgium's highest court. See Belgian government website.
