Nature projects to receive EU Life funding

The European Commission has named 70 nature conservation projects that are to receive this year's funding allocation of €72m under the Life-Nature programme. Spain benefits from the largest number of grants, for 11 projects, but all EU states, except Luxembourg, will receive funding for one or more projects. Thirteen of the benefiting projects are in five EU accession states. Funding of the individual projects increased by 15% compared with the previous allocation round. See press release.
