UK urges stricter pesticide approval rules
A strengthening of the approval process for pesticides used on crops that takes into account all sources of exposure is being urged by a UK government-backed toxicology committee. It calls for a "systematic framework" to decide whether to carry out a combined risk assessment of exposure as part of the approval process. See report.
