One firm in three plans to buy green power
Just over a third of businesses in Germany, Sweden, Finland, the UK and the Netherlands plan to buy certified green electricity in the near future, according to research by Finland's Vaasa university. The findings were published in Brussels last month at the annual conference of Eugene, the green electricity network (EED 24/06/02). But report author Philip Lewis said green power generators were "not communicating clear, direct or motivating enough messages" to businesses. His survey found 64% had received no offers to purchase green electricity. See WWF press release and the study.
