More states transpose EU waste burning law
Two more EU governments have transposed the 2000 directive setting higher environmental standards for waste incineration and co-incineration as the legal deadline approaches. The Swedish environment ministry announced implementing regulations last week. All new incineration plants will be bound by the new rules from the same date. See Swedish press release, UK regulations, and text of incineration directive.
