Danish ombudsman ducks Lomborg issue

Denmark's parliamentary ombudsman has declined to intervene in the row over the scientific credibility of Bjørn Lomborg and his Institute for environmental assessment (IMV), national news agency Ritzau reports today. Referring to a formal complaint filed by a colleague of Mr Lomborg against the scientific ethics panel that accused the academic of "perverting the scientific message", ombudsman Hans Gammeltoft-Hansen said he could not consider a case before all other appeals procedures had been exhausted. In any case, he added, it would be preferable for the injured party to file the complaint himself. See article.
