Spain sets limits on emissions of VOCs

The Spanish government has approved a decree limiting emissions of volatile organic compounds from industrial use of solvents under the framework of a law passed last June (EED 18/06/02). The new regulations affect a wide range of industrial processes. Emissions limits have to be complied with immediately by new installations and within a prescribed period by existing ones. The regional authorities will be responsible for ensuring that operators supply emissions data at least annually. See press release.
