Sellafield legal challenge gets under way

An international arbitration panel under the UN convention on the law of the sea (Unclos) today began hearing arguments in a dispute between the Irish and UK governments over "Mox" nuclear fuel manufacturing at the Sellafield nuclear plant in England. It is one of several legal challenges brought by Ireland against operations at Sellafield. This phase of the case continues to 27 June.
