HP challenged over electroscrap collection
Electronics manufacturer Hewlett-Packard (HP) has defended its policy on collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (Weee) after appearing to reject increases in recycling above the EU Weee directive's target of 4kg collection per head of population. An official made the comments at a conference in May (see link below to an article in our sister publication, The ENDS Report). In response to inquiries by green group EEB, the company stressed that it does not support any maximum ceiling on Weee collection rates.
