New Danish EPA supremo named
Denmark's environment ministry today announced the appointment of Ole Christiansen as head of the national environmental protection agency (EPA). He succeeds Steen Gade, who resigned in June in protest against government cutbacks (EED 12/06/03). Mr Christiansen, aged 56, has held a number of legal and planning jobs in the ministry since 1975, and has been deputy director of the national forest and nature agency since 1995. See press release.
