Green impacts of EU farm reform assessed
A detailed review of how planned changes to the EU common agricultural policy will affect the environment in England has been released by the UK environment ministry. Based on European Commission proposals issued in January, the consultancy report identifies tens of ways in which the changes could have both positive and negative impacts, assesses its implications relative to national environmental indicators, and recommends amendments that could "enhance environmental outcomes".
