"Green" Anglo-Welsh water management law
A major water law approved by the UK parliament on Thursday will provide "a sound foundation" for ensuring sustainable use of water resources, according to the Anglo-Welsh environment agency. Under the water act 2003, all new abstraction licences will be time-limited, based on volume rather than use, and linked to local water resources.
