Norwegian power firms demand policy changes
Norway's electricity companies have warned of a "breakdown" in the sector without drastic changes in the country's energy policy framework. Measures advocated by the Norwegian electricity industry association (EBL) include a more positive approach to "environment-friendly" hydropower development, simplification of energy taxes and implementation of a green certificates system for renewable energy with Nordic neighbour Sweden.
