Think tanks to tackle Kyoto protocol sceptics
Three independent think tanks from the UK, the USA and Australia have announced the creation of a international taskforce to recommend ways to bring America and Australia back into the Kyoto protocol process. The group's members include high-profile figures from government, business, science and civil society bodies and from ten countries. It will deliver its recommendations early next year, aimed especially at the UK government, which will hold the rotating presidencies of both the EU and the G8 group of leading industrial nations in 2005.
