Danish retailer withdraws suspect soap
Denmark's Coop retail chain has decided to remove a popular brand of baby soap manufactured by Natusan from many of its stores because the product contains parabenes, Politiken newspaper reports. The environmental protection agency (EPA) has asked the industry for documentation on the compounds, which are suspected of being endocrine disrupters, the newspaper adds. For the time being, Coop is withdrawing the soap only from stores that do not stock alternative brands. See article.
