Lomborg quits as Danish green advisor
"Sceptical environmentalist" Bjørn Lomborg, the controversial founder and director of Denmark's environmental assessment institute (IMV), is to quit. Mr Lomborg said he wanted to return to being an associate professor at the University of Århus "to immerse myself in statistics and big fat books". He said he was proud of the 20 reports produced by IMV, and of the Copenhagen Consensus organised by the institute at the end of May (EED 01/06/04). Mr Lomborg added that he would continue his involvement in the environmental debate. See press releases from IMV and Danish environment ministry.
