Van Geel climate change call angers business
For an EU presidency committed to showing that environmental policies can be business friendly, the Dutch government got off to a bad start with environment minister Pieter Van Geel's call for a global greenhouse gas reduction target of 30% by 2020. Dutch business federation VNO-NCW called the approach "doomed to failure" and insisted that the "Kyoto approach is not working".
