Norwegian tax break for collected F-gases
Norwegian firms using industrial greenhouse gases are being offered tax rebates if they deliver used HFCs and PFCs to approved treatment centres for destruction. The taxes of NKr183 (€22) per tonne of CO2-equivalent global warming potential were introduced last year. The new tax rebates are intended to reduce release of the compounds while "stimulating the development of new technology", said environment minister Knut Arild Hareide. See press release.
