EU renewables promotion plan "a success"
The EU's "Campaign for Take-Off" to promote renewable energy was an "outstanding" success, according to a review of the scheme, which ended last year. Produced for the European Commission by three industry and public support bodies, the review concludes that the scheme acted as an effective catalyst for developing promising renewables technologies. Coordination between EU, national and local levels for renewables investment and promotion is seen as a crucial element for the scheme's success. See Campaign for Take-Off final review.
