Power chief moots Kyoto protocol name change
Europe would have a better chance of getting major players such as the USA to sign up to climate change agreements if it ditched the name "Kyoto", the chief of Sweden-based energy company Vattenfall has suggested. "In parts of the world Kyoto has become a dirty word", Lars Josefsson told journalists. He added that the idea of an international cap and trade system to fight global warming was not in itself repellent to industry: "Kyoto is a problem of psychology, not of problem solving".
