UK companies get guidance on green reporting

The Accounting standards board (ASB) states in a reporting standard issued on Tuesday that it is mainly in industries "with a significant environmental footprint" that firms should identify environmental key performance indicators. Associated guidance suggests as generic areas for reporting: energy use, water use, waste, global warming contribution and ozone-depleting substances. See press release (with link to guidelines).
