The Danish government has pledged to reduce the pesticide load on people and nature through stricter controls, more information and better monitoring, under a five-year strategy released this week.

The Danish environment and food ministry released its pesticide strategy on Tuesday, following a six-month consultation with stakeholders.

The strategy’s overall objectives of reducing the pesticide load on the environment, nature and health, and minimising the use of pesticides, will be achieved through work on four main areas:
