EU negotiators are hoping to make progress in negotiating the rules for the Paris Agreement at upcoming climate talks in Bonn so that all major emitters can demonstrate like-for-like emissions cuts when the 2015 climate accord is put into effect.
The meeting in Bonn from 6-17 November, which is being held under Fiji’s presidency, is largely technical in nature and will not grab the headlines in the way that the landmark agreement in Paris did two years ago.
