An EU renewable energy target of 35% by 2030 would mean 56% more jobs in the solar sector than the current 27% goal, says research published on Monday by Solar Power Europe.

The industry association estimates that solar capacity in the EU will need to increase to 328 gigawatts by 2030 from 100GW in 2016 to meet a 35% renewable energy target being discussed in the recast of the EU renewable energy directive.
