The City of Paris aims to cut its carbon footprint by 80% and be 100% powered by renewables by 2050. The goals were set as part of a climate plan launched this week.
The plan includes 500 measures to reach carbon neutrality by mid-century, with intermediary targets for 2030. It is more ambitious than France’s national climate plan, which aims for GHG emission cuts of 40% by 2030 and 75% by 2050.
