Environmentalists have warned of low ambition on 2030 climate and energy goals ahead of a meeting of European energy ministers, who plan to adopt their position on key policy proposals on Monday.
EU Council documents circulated ahead of the meeting suggest ministers are still eyeing a headline renewables target of 27% of European power consumption by 2030, potentially setting them on a collision course with the European Parliament, which wants a 35% goal.
