Overview of European water status published

EEA pulls together five years of research by inland waters topic centre for broad audience

The European Environment Agency (EEA) has published an overview of European water resources bringing together, in non-technical form, five years of work by its inland waters research network. Aimed at a general audience, but packed with statistics in graphical form, the report is being made available in all 11 official EEA languages, unlike the more detailed technical reports on which it is based, many of which were produced only in English, according to project manager Niels Thyssen.

Covering water issues in eastern as well as western Europe, the report picks out key issues of ongoing concern as well as providing background information and data on the current status of water resources.
