Environmental experts database launched

Central European environmental experts listed on Internet database

The Regional Environmental Centre (REC), based in Budapest, has upgraded a database of environmental experts. The database now contains details of over 1,000 experts in central and eastern European countries. Each entry includes details of professional and research activities, together with membership of professional societies, number of scientific papers published and languages spoken. REC, which supports the development and implementation of environmental policies and programmes in central and eastern European countries, says it updates profiles on the database frequently and requires evidence of "extensive skills or knowledge" and "at least three years" of professional experience in the field, for experts to be listed.
