Dutch environment ministry website

New look website includes details of legislation and links to Presidency

The Dutch environment ministry, VROM, has launched a new version of its site on the World Wide Web, giving detailed information on each of the policy areas it handles. Environmental components feature a historical explanation of the government s national environmental plans including its famous covenants with industry. The site, which is almost entirely in Dutch, gives details of plans for a new noise management strategy, details of applications for waste-handling licences, and a guide to the pollution inspectorate. It also links to a Dutch Presidency web site which offers press releases and a calendar of events. VROM is currently holding an on-line debate on sustainable housing.
