The Danish government's information campaign on ecolabelling, launched earlier this year, has now entered its second phase, the environmental protection agency (EPA) has announced. The first stage, which saw public recognition of the EU "Flower" symbol and of the Nordic "Swan" label increase substantially (EED 09/07/01), also resulted in rises of up to 50% in sales of ecolabelled products, the agency said in a statement. The campaign will now focus on increasing the range and turnover of ecolabelled goods. See press release.
