Media organisations are failing in their reporting on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development by focusing on dramatic news rather than more serious long-term issues. Based on interviews with over 50 stakeholders and a review of ten years of news coverage, think-tank Sustainability and PR firm Ketchum for UN environment programme have concluded in a new report that the media's potentially vital role in promoting sustainability is rarely matched by performance.
