Five EU companies have joined forces in a project to "record the efforts of business in raising public and customer awareness and public behaviour on issues of climate change". Dubbed the Business leaders' initiative for climate change (Blicc) and launched at the European Commission's Green Week in Brussels today, it has been set up by retailers Ikea and Body Shop, carpet tile maker Interface and energy companies Nuon and Berka Energi. Initial efforts are being put into accounting methods for corporate emissions, including those made by customers. See website.
