Growth in EU renewables rated

European renewable energy watchdog EurObserv'ER has issued a second overview of growth in eight renewables sectors in the EU, confirming high growth rates in most of them. Country-by-country statistics and projections are presented for wind power, biofuels, micro-hydropower, geothermal energy, photovoltaic and thermal solar, biogas, and wood energy. Overall, the survey concludes, Germany is "far ahead of its partners", though other countries lead in specific single sectors. See barometer 2001.
