Danes sign up to green forestry scheme

Denmark's forest certification scheme has become the 13th national system to be endorsed by the pan-European forest certification (PEFC) council, meaning that certified Danish timber products can now carry the PEFC logo. Nearly 43.7m hectares of forest in nine countries are now certified under PEFC-endorsed schemes. The body has issued 262 chain of custody certificates for certified timber products, over double the number of one year ago. See press release.
