CSR "needs to prove its competitive edge"

A global consortium of business, academic and public sector organisations is aiming to show how corporate social responsibility (CSR) can underpin competitiveness. Led by UK not-for-profit organisation AccountAbility and Danish think-tank the Copenhangen centre, the Responsible competitiveness consortium aims to "understand CSR's contribution" to competitiveness and to boost its impact on sustainable development, AccountAbility's John Sabapathy told ENDS Europe DAILY. The consortium will be formally launched in December, together with the results of a first multi-country ranking. See website.
