Health risks of POP chemicals reviewed

A detailed summary of scientific knowledge on health risks of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) has been published by the European office of the World health organisation (WHO). The report covers the majority of chemicals that will be controlled by a pan-European protocol due to enter force on 23 October. It includes assessments of the significance of long-range transport of each reviewed substance or group of substances. See report.
