The Anglo-Welsh environment agency has performed an about turn over a controversial plan to import old US navy ships for scrapping in Britain. Previously granted authorisations are in fact invalid, it said on Friday. It urged the firm involved, Able UK, to "consider its position" and warned that four ships already being towed across the Atlantic could be sent back.
