Policy makers from several EU states have recommended actions to achieve faster development of offshore wind power in Europe. Agreed in Copenhagen, the strategy includes "one-stop shops" in all member states to speed up administrative and legal procedures and reduce costs related to offshore regulation. It also calls for measures to guarantee the transmission and distribution of electricity produced from renewable energy sources. A steering committee will meet in six months to review progress made on the recommendations. See press release and strategy.
