Polish minister sets out green programme

Sustainable development the top priority for Jan Szyszko for the next parliamentary term

Poland's new environment minister Jan Szyszko presented his programme for the parliamentary term on 23 November. Sustainable development tops the priority list. The ministry also wants to give substantial support to forestry and organic farming. Other priorities include improving air and water quality and "putting in order" Polish environmental regulations. Mr Szyszko said that the system of financing environmental protection should be reformed. See press release and press conference (audio).
