Seven in ten citizens want more environmental policies, says agency study

Almost 70 per cent of Germans believe bold environmental policies boost the country’s economic competitiveness, according to a new poll by the federal environment agency. Almost 60 per cent want reduced dependence on energy imports, with 87 per cent supporting more renewables and 100 per cent favouring more energy-efficient products.
