China proposes climate technology transfer plan

World's largest emitter lays out ideas to boost deployment of green technologies;  developed nations urged to provide funding

China has proposed a plan to help deploy environmental technologies across the world at a high-level climate conference jointly hosted by the Chinese government and the UN in Beijing on Friday and Saturday.

The plan would provide better protection for intellectual property, the world's largest emitter says.  China has also made a list of the technologies it needs to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, according to senior government official Gao Guangsheng.
