Denmark's green tech sector set to buck the trend

Danish industry group predicts strong growth for climate and environment firms despite global downturn

Danish businesses in the climate, energy and environment sector can expect revenues to rise by almost a quarter in the next few years, despite the global economic downturn, according to figures from the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) quoted by Børsen newspaper.

Børsen identifies control equipment manufacturer Danfoss, pump manufacturer Grundfos, consulting engineers COWI and 14 other companies as growth prospects, predicting an average 23 per cent increase in 2009 and similar levels of growth continuing through to 2011.
