Prime minister Tusk announces national economic rescue package, says newly revised environmental regulations will help

A series of newly-simplified national environmental laws will help Poland weather the worsening economic situation, prime minister Donald Tusk announced on Monday.

Announcing a national PLN91.3bn (€23.94bn) "stability and growth" plan, Mr Tusk said recently-adopted regulations on access to environmental information, public participation in environmental protection and environmental impact assessment would help boost consumption and investment in Poland.
