Businesses to advise EU on energy revolution

International business leaders and EU officials launch informal partnership to overhaul European energy infrastructure

International business leaders and EU officials met in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss how they could work together to overhaul European energy infrastructure.

The initiative comes from American lobbyist Jeremy Rifkin, who has set up a business roundtable representing ninety CEOs and trade associations this autumn with the aim of moving forward his vision for a decentralised, renewables-based energy infrastructure in Europe (EED 04/06/07).
