EU gives customs guidance on ozone depleters

The European Commission has published a list of products and equipment that may contain restricted ozone depleting substances (ODS). The list is designed to help customs officials identify such goods and enforce recently revised EU rules on ODS.

Products on the non-exhaustive list include chemical substances, pharmaceutical products and dyes. The commission provides the combined nomenclature codes for such products and lists the controls that apply to them, such as import and export bans.
