Carmakers on track to hit CO2 targets for 2020

All EU carmakers except Daimler will meet their collective CO2 target for 2020 if they maintain the average rate of emission reductions, according to T&E

All European carmakers except Daimler will meet their collective CO2 target for 2020 if they maintain the average rate of emission reductions, green group T&E said in an analysis released on Wednesday.

Manufacturers such as PSA, Fiat and Renault would have to reduce their emissions by an average of 3.7% per year to achieve the EU’s 95g/km target, which is just a bit higher than last year’s reduction rate of 3.3%, T&E notes.
