An environmental campaign group has reiterated its call for the European Union to issue a full ban on bisphenol A in food packaging after the publication of a new study which found that early life exposure to BPA was linked to the development of hyperactivity.
The US study is the first systematic review to date that assesses links between BPA and hyperactivity using both animal and human data. It is based on the latest US National Toxicology Program protocol and on concentrations of BPA deemed safe at the US level.
