EP environment committee to have a say on CAP reform

The European Parliament’s agriculture and environment committees have been given shared competence over the Common Agricultural Policy reform negotiation.

This is the first time that the ENVI committee will have a say over key aspects of the CAP.

The presidents of the EP's political groups agreed Thursday, as requested by ENVI, to grant it a shared competence as an "associated committee" over environmental aspects of the proposed reform.
